The Kingdom of Lanna, meaning a kingdom of a million rice fields, was once a thriving, independent state located in what is now northern Thailand. This former kingdom bordered the Shan states of what is now eastern Myanmar (formerly known as Burma), and is rich in Thai and Burmese culture and history.
SALA Lanna Chiang Mai is located along the popular east bank of the famous Ping River in the heart of Chiang Mai, Thailand, an area that was once the center of the Kingdom of Lanna. This former kingdom is now home to our Chiang Mai boutique accommodation, the ideal location from which to explore many cultural offerings of Chiang Mai.
This boutique property in Chiang Mai consists of only 15 stylish guest rooms, most possessing river views and beautiful private balconies. Note 1: Blockout dates are New Year’s Eve (31st December to 1st January) and on Loy Krathong Festival (different times every year but is usually in November for 3 days)
