What does a completed quote mean?

When a client completes a quote for your venue on MOW, it is a positive indication of interest.

By this stage, the client has typically explored your wedding experience, reviewed your pricing, and taken the time to build a quote based on their wedding requirements. This means they are no longer simply browsing and your venue is one of the options they are actively considering.

Does this mean the client has shortlisted our venue?
Generally, yes.

Clients will often explore many venues during the early stages of their search, but only complete quotes for the venues they are more seriously considering.

A completed quote therefore indicates stronger interest than a simple venue visit or view, although the client may still have several venues on their shortlist.

Does this mean the client is ready to book?
Not necessarily.

The client is still in the comparison and decision-making stage. They may be reviewing several venues, comparing overall costs, discussing their options with their partner or family, or waiting for further information before deciding which venues to progress with.

A completed quote should therefore be treated as a strong opportunity to start a conversation, rather than an indication that a booking is certain.

Should we contact the client?
Yes.

We recommend sending a warm introduction and opening the conversation. At this stage, the goal is to build rapport and make it easy for the client to engage with your team, rather than immediately pushing them towards a booking.

You may want to introduce yourself, acknowledge their interest in the venue and let them know you are available to answer questions or help them explore their wedding requirements further.

If the client is ready to progress, they will respond.

What if the client doesn’t reply?
Don’t be discouraged.

Clients may be considering several venues at the same time and will not necessarily progress every conversation simultaneously. For example, they may be waiting for information from another shortlisted venue before deciding which options to pursue further.

A lack of an immediate response does not necessarily mean they are no longer interested.

We recommend allowing the client some space and following up appropriately rather than sending repeated messages.

Should we keep the conversation on MOW?
Where possible, yes.

Our messaging system is like a Whatsapp Group Chat where the Client, Venue and our MOW Sales Team are there. Keeping the conversation on the platform allows the client, your team and MOW to stay aligned throughout the enquiry. It also means our team can provide additional information direct to the client, assist with questions and help move the enquiry forward when needed.

However, we understand that email or WhatsApp can sometimes be more convenient, particularly as the conversation progresses.

If you do need to move the conversation outside the MOW platform, please keep the MOW Team copied or included wherever possible so we can continue supporting the enquiry.

What should our goal be at this stage?
The priority is simple: open the conversation and build confidence in your venue.

The client has already seen your Wedding Experience and pricing. Your team’s role now is to add the human side of the experience, answer their questions, understand what matters to them and help them determine whether your venue is the right fit for their wedding.

You don’t need to hard sell. A helpful, responsive and personalised conversation will usually be much more valuable at this stage.
