About Amandari

Designed after a traditional Balinese village, with sweeping views of the Ayung Valley’s jungled slopes, Amandari has integrated so sensitively into its hillside setting that it feels as though it has always been there. Free-standing guest suites with alang-alang roofs and interiors of coconut, teak and bamboo offer tranquil terraces and outdoor bathtubs. Presided over by a sacred stone tiger, the grounds are not just for guests: children attend dance classes here, and villagers regularly visit the property’s riverside shrine. Beyond the paras-stone walls, iconic rice terraces, artisan villages and Bali’s cultural heart, Ubud, lie waiting.

Inspired by a traditional village, framed by jungle and rice terraces in Bali’s cultural heartland, Amandari is uniquely integrated into nearby Kedewatan Village, home to the majority of the Amandari team. It provides 30 free-standing suites, each with a private garden courtyard or swimming pool and one unit of Three Bedroom Amandari Villa.

Savour authentic Indonesian cuisine and seasonal Western dishes in the open-air Restaurant with mesmerising views of the Ayung River Valley. Across the pool lies the Bar, and right on the lip of the gorge the Bale for private dining at sunset. Discover the flavours of Bali with dishes ranging from smoked duck and turmeric-scented rice to fish satay and chargrilled prawns. Or choose a comforting dish from home on the international menu. Seasonal ingredients are sourced from local organic farms, while freshly caught seafood is brought from the coast daily. Private dining is available 24 hours a day for guests in the comfort of their Suites.

Relax amid tranquil lotus ponds and surrender to the healing touch of Amandari’s expert therapists. The peaceful spa comprises two open-air bales, a beauty treatment room, a sauna and marble steam room in lush forest surrounds. Signifying new beginnings, the Balinese Melukat purification ceremony is the finishing touch of Amandari’s revitalising signature spa journey, which also includes a full body exfoliation using black rice and cinnamon, a body wrap of mineral-rich volcanic clay, and a therapeutic head massage.

Amandari is also ideal for private events, intimate wedding, wellness retreat and cultural immersions, with an Aman Spa and riverside shrine.
