About Anantara Ubud Bali Resort

Set deep in the rainforest hills of Payangan, north of Ubud, Anantara Ubud Bali Resort commands sweeping views across jungle valleys to distant Mount Agung. The resort occupies a secluded stretch of tropical rainforest, blending contemporary Balinese architecture with the surrounding natural landscape to create a sense of privacy and calm that sets it apart from Ubud’s busier centre.

The resort’s 85 suites and villas are spread across the property, ranging from the Premier Room close to ground level and the Forest View Room set higher among the tree line, to the Payangan Suite with its private garden, through to one- and two-bedroom pool villas with private pools, including a Two Bedroom Forest View Pool Villa with an in-villa pool. Interiors draw on natural materials and neutral palettes with subtle Balinese influences, and each villa comes with the service of a dedicated host.

Dining spans Kirana Restaurant, with indoor and outdoor seating framed by jungle views, and Amerta, an open-kitchen, wood-fired grill built into the hillside and centred on premium dry-aged meat, fish and sustainable local products. Sulang Bar sits alfresco beside the adult pool, while the Lobby Lounge offers Luwak coffee and afternoon tea beneath a Gamelatron sound installation, looking out toward Mount Agung.

Wellness facilities include the Anantara Spa, with four treatment rooms, a treatment suite, relaxation lounge, steam room and sauna, alongside a Technogym-equipped fitness centre. The resort’s three pools — adult, family and kids’ — are each set against a backdrop of forest and mountain, and a dedicated kids’ and teens’ club offers supervised activities across two age-specific zones. Beyond the resort, guided experiences range from a Mini Jeep excursion to the sacred forest of Alas Taro to a guided ascent of Mount Abang, Bali’s second-highest peak.

For weddings, couples can exchange vows on the rooftop at sundown followed by an elegant banquet in the gardens, or take exclusive use of the Payangan deck, or the lobby deck with Mount Agung as a backdrop, paired with their choice of banqueting. A dedicated wedding planner oversees each celebration, from intimate engagement ceremonies through to multi-day events, set against the quiet of the rainforest.
