About Noema Resort Pererenan
Noema Resort sits in Pererenan, a stretch of Bali’s coastline just a three-minute stroll from a black-sand beach and still carrying the quiet, unhurried character of the rice fields and coastal village it once was. The name Pererenan comes from the Balinese word “mereren” — to stop, to pause — and that spirit of slowing down runs through the resort, even as it sits within easy walking distance of the area’s restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques. It has become a natural gathering point for artists, surfers and nomads drawn to Bali’s creative energy, while retaining the calm of a coastline once known only to locals and a handful of curious surfers.
The resort comprises 157 rooms and suites, each designed to reflect the island’s natural materials and tones. The Tropical Studio and Tropical Lagoon Studio offer garden, pool or direct lagoon access, the latter reached via a private path to the Lagoon Pool. The Eureka Rooftop Studio offers private rooftop access suited to barbecue gatherings, while the Imagi Rooftop Suites extend that rooftop space to activities such as yoga, with the Imagi Suites also offering lagoon access or a private plunge pool. At the top of the range, the three-bedroom Borea Penthouse commands ocean views and exclusive access to its own rooftop terrace.
Dining at Noema centres on two venues. Mamaloma is the all-day restaurant, serving a fusion of Asian, local and international dishes from 6.30 am to 11 pm, while Paparempa focuses on authentic Indonesian archipelago cuisine prepared with traditional methods, open from 7 am to 11 pm. Both venues make use of the Pererenan breeze and the resort’s coastal setting as part of the dining experience.
Wellness and recreation facilities include the Oori Spa, which specialises in contrast bath and hydrotherapy treatments alongside an ice bath and infrared sauna, and is open to public membership as well as guests. Daily Dose Gym spans an indoor gym with adjoining pool and sauna, an outdoor CrossFit area, and a climbing wall designed by artist Kanoko Takaya. The resort’s Main Pool features artwork by Sekar Puti built into the pool bar’s tiling, while the Lagoon Pool is accessible directly from the Lagoon studios and suites. Families are catered for at Hoola Play, a three-storey playground designed by SIURA Studio around a large kraken sculpture. Throughout the property, art plays a defining role — most notably Kayu Bulan, a 12-metre ship installation by Iwan Yusuf that rises through three floors of the resort.
For celebrations, Menika Rooftop offers ocean views and sunset vistas as a setting for weddings, birthdays and corporate events, with a versatile layout suited to gatherings of varying scale and occasion.
