About The Kayon Ubud Resort
The Kayon Ubud Resort is perched on the Ubud hills side, surrounded by the holy Petanu River and lush and tropical rainforest giving a relaxing vibe. Kayon means a tree of life, encompassing creations and secrets that grow from the earth towards heaven. Located only ten minutes drive from Ubud center, this enchanting five-star boutique resort is designed in complete harmony with nature.
The resort features six valley deluxe rooms with jungle views on the two-storey North Wing. It has twelve Kayon river suites in the three-storey South Wing with views down to the river. And finally five river-edge private pool villas with thatched roofs, each enhanced by its own infinity pool overlooking to river below.
The shape of Kayon is implemented in the architecture, swimming pool, bathtubs and details in the artworks. Kayon symbolises the universe to open and close the story played in Wayang Kulit or Puppet Shadow show. The Kayon Ubud Resort features the Ramayana story in the paintings and carvings depicting the religious life and love advice. The true love story of Rama & Shinta is also captured in a 50-metre stone wall relief, carved by ten talented local stone carving artists taking three months from start to finish.
