About The Samata

The Samata is an exclusive and unique luxury retreat in one of the most beautiful parts of Bali. In the ancient language Sanskrit, “Samata” means the state of equilibrium between body, mind and soul, and that is exactly what the resort offers each cherished guest. In line with the philosophy of Lifestyle Retreats, The Samata provides a place where all guests can improve their lifestyle balance by engaging in fitness, sports, healthy dining and complete relaxation.

Balance body and mind by checking in to one of the 10 exquisite Suites and Pool Villas, gazing out over emerald rice fields and the shimmering Indian Ocean and revitalizing yourself with our state-of-the-art fitness facilities, experienced personal trainers, blissful spa and health-conscious gourmet restaurant.

The small number of suites and pool villas means guests experience highly personalised service from our warm and welcoming staff ‘family’ who will pamper them from the moment they check in. This is what we at Lifestyle Retreats call hospitality from the heart, developed and perfected over the years and practiced at all our properties.

The resort’s rooms and public spaces have been carefully designed to celebrate this magic and reflect the tranquillity of the Balinese landscape and its culture. Oat-white Indonesian Palimanan stone is the predominant building material, creating a clean and pure design. The resort’s turquoise pools stretch invitingly across the emerald green of the lawns, leading the eye to gaze into the distance across the verdant rice fields.

The dining areas are open-air and open-plan, allowing guests to engage with the environment and benefit from the sights and sounds of nature. And in the privacy of their own rooms, guests will find minimalist design complemented by earthy tones, Javanese teak furniture, aquamarine mosaic-tiled bathrooms and unique photographs of scenes from Bali and other parts of Indonesia.

Note: For the safety and privacy of our guests, Fireworks and Wishing Lanterns are strictly prohibited within the resort.
