Amilla Maldives is located in the Baa Atoll UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, just a 35-minute scenic seaplane ride away, passing over jewel-like islands scattered across the turquoise ocean.
We opened our island in 2014, as an independent 5-star luxury resort owned by Maldivians and with experienced hoteliers who desired to create a naturally lush private island paradise. The island scape features far fewer villas and residences, which translates to idyllic, untouched scenery and more space to play, relax and explore.
The Snapper and Fusilier reefs, bustling with wildlife, cradle the heartbeat of the Indian Ocean. Wander amongst sea almonds, screwpines and thousands of mature coconut trees. Bathe in the floral aroma and explosions of colour from hibiscus, bougainvillea and frangipani blooms.
With 27 hectares and only 67 villas, more than 40 overwater, Amilla Maldives offers spacious villas, space between villas and outdoor Space to Play. Starting at 220 sqm, they’re far larger than most Maldives luxury villas. Contemporary tropical retreats. Huge indoor and outdoor areas for play and relaxation. Our large island allows us to grow herbs, vegetables and fruit right here. We also make many items from scratch with love, including drinks in our Wellness Lab, kombucha being just one, as well as herbal remedies in the Alchemy Bar.

Our talented team works to create memories for our guests through special touches as well as providing exactly what they like. We offer a kids’ club, a teens’ programme and an extensive weekly activity programme, the Baa-lletin.
