Gad Lanna Lawn
InterContinental Chiang Mai's Gad Lanna Lawn is a manicured expanse of green grass, a conservatory filled with natural light, comfortable seating, and a white stupa that was part of the ancient Gong Makers’ Temple, and which is now a heritage site adjoining our hotel. The lawn is a gracious setting for a reception.
Lovingly manicured, and bordered by a frieze of shrubbery, the green expanse is visually pinned by the ancient white stupa that is part of Wat Chang Kong, a Buddhist temple built over 600 years ago by a community of villagers, and which stands adjoined to the hotel grounds.
Holding an event on The Gad Lanna Lawn, with its fragrance and banyan tree-shaded area, its twilights and its romantic nights, makes any occasion very special. A morning gathering with artisan coffee and nibbles, a luncheon, a cocktail party, a dance party with live music. A wedding ceremony here will produce wonderful photographs. A presentation, a birthday, a graduation ceremony, with plenty of room to accommodate a large number of guests.
The Mae Ping Grand Ballroom
A grand occasion requires a venue of grandeur. The Mae Ping Grand Ballroom is set within its own building on the hotel grounds, providing exclusive and private access for guests and VIPs. A large foyer ensures space for gathering and cocktails before guests file into the splendid hall, which can be set for any event from a large conference to a society wedding, a gala dinner, or a theatrical spectacular with an extravaganza of audio and visual presentation technology. The hall can also be scaled down into two self-contained venues whenever a more intimate occasion is required.
