Lobby Lounge

Max. 20 guests

Climb up a stone stairway to The Samaya Ubud’s warm and inviting Lobby Lounge. Situated on the resort’s highest point and eye level to the green tops of palm trees, this elevated location offers sublime views into the lush horizon. Exchange your vows on the lounge’s tasteful smokey pavers carved from beautiful Balinese stone while taking in the aerial views of the Ayung River and surrounding rice fields.

Swept Away Restaurant Grass Lawn

Max. 15 guests

Follow the path from the lobby to the very end and you will reach the Swept Away Restaurant. Set alongside the banks of Ayung River, this restaurant also has a cosy and intimate garden location in front. Here you can tie the knot looking out over the river and green hills, as well as traditional rice fields and a canopy of palms. Listen to the gentle swish of the running river and enjoy the tropical breeze as you exchange your vows. There is even a traditional Hindu statue to provide you with a special marital blessing!

What we love:
  • Situated on the resort’s highest position, providing gorgeous tree-top views of the surrounding countryside.
  • You can choose to hold your ceremony on the chic grey stone slabs or the adjacent green lawn.
  • The Lobby Lounge is also located above the Scene Restaurant which has a grass lawn. This provides another great ceremony option if you prefer green lawn over chich grey stone flooring.
  • Because of the resort’s smaller size, this open area still feels intimate — there is no need to worry about other guests walking through your ceremony.
  • Most convenient location, close to the lobby offering easy access to your guests.
What we love:
  • Superb location in a cosy garden area along the banks of the Ayung River, where you can also appreciate the surrounding hills and rice fields.
  • Just a stone’s throw away from the water — listen to the tranquil flow of the moving water as you exchange your vows.
  • The charming stone path serves as a beautiful bridal walkway.
  • Thoughtful details, like the traditional Hindu statue, creates a more traditional and memorable space for some.
  • Your photographer will be glad that there are heaps of different photo opportunities here.
Things you should know:
  • Even though this area is besides the lobby, it is still relatively private due to the lobby not being overly used in this small boutique resort.
Things you should know:
  • The well-maintained grass lawn is mostly flat but slopes down slightly towards the river.
  • This area is not completely private where other inhouse guests may be able to see it from the Swept Away restaurant above. However guests will be seated further away to minimise any disruption.
  • There is seating space for 10 guests with additional standing space for 20 more guests.
