We sell weddings online, like a Booking.com for weddings at luxury and boutique venues. We are a trusted collection where we only invite the very best venues with unique wedding experiences to join us.
Each of our venues are validated by our Partner Team before being fully approved. Once on the site, they are seen as trusted venues with truly unique wedding experiences. This combined with our innovative wedding platform is how we’ve built our reputation as the simplest and safest way to book an amazing overseas wedding online.
Once you are part of our collection, our Sales Team will work together with you to sell weddings on our platform. Couples around the world will be able to easily understand your wedding offering and confirm if your venue is right for them. This includes creating a journey to allow them to inspect your venue online, get instant quotes, confirm their wedding requirements and book.
We do have wedding specialists as part of our team, however we no longer provide wedding planning services. We started this company primarily to take couples and their guests on a mini-holiday together overseas, far away from their busy day-to-day lives. It’s a place where they can truly connect and celebrate together. So to help as many couples as we can, we focus more on the sales side to make overseas celebrations more attractive and easy to book online.
Nevertheless, our wedding planning services have earnt us a strong reputation as wedding experts in Thailand and Bali over the years. We still do campaigns with Thailand Tourism and have also been invited by them to represent Thailand for weddings at Australia’s largest wedding expos.
The main reasons are:
- You need a more sustainable way to build your wedding business and increase your wedding conversions online.
- You have a smaller team and do not have the time to deal with unqualified leads via email. You want to extend your Sales Team by working with a partner who can help qualify leads and close sales together.
- You want to join for free and prefer to work with commissions when a wedding is sold.

- You want to work with a reputable and trusted partner. We’ve also been approved by the Australian Government’s Trade & Investment Commission (Austrade) as an official Australian Supplier.
We only partner with the very best venues in the world with a truly unique wedding offering, mostly in the luxury and boutique space. This has led us to partner with reputable brands like Aman, W Hotels, Four Seasons, Conrad, Ritz Carlton Reserve, Bvlgari and Banyan Tree. All our Partners have been pre-vetted and are trustworthy for weddings, ensuring our couples always get a great experience.
We’ve created a full buying experience that allows couples to inspect venues online, instantly price their wedding, compare venues and book. Our online journey emulates the physical inspection process, helping clients understand the Partner’s wedding offering and increasing their wedding conversion rates online.
Our Sales Team are also active throughout the Sales Process. We work together with your Sales Team and use our platform to help address each of the client’s concerns efficiently. Once a suitable product is found, we work with your team to close the bookings via our platform.
We do this because it’s much more than just a destination wedding for us. It’s about getting couples and their loved ones to disconnect from their day-to-day and really experience life together. It’s an impactful experience that leaves lasting impressions on people’s lives, which is why we’re so passionate about what we do.
Our couples come from Australia, US, UK and South East Asia. We focus on intimate weddings where the average wedding size is 30-100 guests. However, we do also have a growing number of large Indian Wedding groups looking to get married abroad.
Since we began in 2011, our main focus for venues was Asia. We have now penetrated these markets well and partnered with some of the best brands including Aman, COMO, Anantara, Banyan Tree and Marriott.
We are now expanding to new locations around the world like Mexico, Europe, Vietnam and Maldives. This is because most of our couples are well travelled and are happy to go to different locations for a truly unique wedding and travel experience.
BECOMING A PARTNER
We understand that each of our Partners are different, so we leave it up to you to let us know what works best. At minimum, we require commissions on wedding packages and accommodation. However, the commission % is flexible, depending on what you’re used to offering and how keen you are on growing your wedding business.
Generally, our Partners provide us with commissions in 2 main ways:
- The first and preferred way is on the client’s total final bill. Generally, most partners offer us 10% on the final bill.
- The second way is separate commissions on the wedding packages, accommodation and food & beverages. Wedding packages and accommodation are generally between 10-21% commissions. Food & drinks commissions are generally around 5%.
Overall once you’re approved, we are happy to work with you and will work something out. However, to be fair to all our Partners, the commission levels will affect your ranking and exposure on our site.
No problems, once you’re approved as a Partner we’re happy to work with you. Just let us know what you need and we can find something that works well for both of us. From there, we will update our systems to check and ensure the forecasted sales revenue meets our minimum requirements.
One important note is we need to be fair to all our Partners who are supporting us. So reducing commissions will also affect your ranking and exposure on our site.

Yes, we need all our Partners to sign the My Overseas Wedding Agreement before we start our partnership together. This is because selling weddings online is not easy, and we need to ensure both our teams are clear on how to work together to succeed. On our side, it also requires much ongoing investment into marketing campaigns and our Sales Team.
Overall we are committed to creating a sustainable and win-win way for both of us to work together long-term. So if you have any questions or need any changes made to the agreement, we are more than happy to discuss this with you.
ONBOARDING YOUR VENUE
Once you’ve completed the agreement, you will move onto Step 3 – Become a Partner. Our team will create an account for your venue on our extranet and send you the account details (http://partner.myoverseaswedding.com).
This will make sending your wedding information to us simpler and easier. Once you’re on the website, please read the instructions at the “Start” before continuing. This process should take about 2 hours, and by the end, we will have almost everything we need to feature your property on our website.
Four important things to remember is:
- One user at a time
- You can save your progress and come back at any time
- Make sure all the information is complete before you click submit. Clicking submit will close your access so that we can start the editing process to build your venue on the site
- Access to the partner portal will expire on a certain date so please complete it before then

Once you’ve completed our partnership agreement together (i.e. Step 2 – Become a Partner) and you are an approved Partner, our Partner Team will create an account for you on our Partner Portal. This process takes 2-3 days where your account details will be provided to you via email.

The onboarding process takes approximately 1-2 weeks to get your venue on our site. The process is broken up into 2 steps:
- Partner provides information in Partner Portal – It should take you about 2-3 hours to finish onboarding, providing you have all the information ready. It’s also important to provide as many high-quality photos and videos you have available, since this will have a significant impact on generating interest and wedding enquiries.
- MOW Partner Team builds venue listing – Our Partner Team will then review and optimise all your content, and begin building your listing. This process takes about 5 business days to complete. However we usually have a queue of Partners onboarding their venues, so our team will work on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Preview and Launch– A preview is generated for you to provide any feedback. After 2 business days, the Partner Team will launch your venue on our platform.

- Make sure you are logging onto our Partner Portal – https://partner.myoverseaswedding.com.
- Ensure you are using the correct username and password which we allocated to you when you first onboarded your venue.
We only allocate one username and password to each venue. - Make sure your venue is not live on our site. Once we launch your venue, we remove your access from the Partner Portal.

However please note, we currently allocate one username and password per venue listing. This is to allow your colleagues to work together on the onboarding if required.
Your username and password from the Partner Portal (partner.myoverseaswedding.com) will also be used to login to our platform once your venue is live on the My Overseas Wedding site (www.myoverseaswedding.com). This will allow you to message clients, see client quotes and more.
Yes, once our Partner Team have finished building your listing, we will send you an email to let you know the preview is ready. You can then login to see exactly what it will look like and provide feedback.
We will generally give you a couple days to let us know if you have any changes, and launch your venue listing from then.
Changes can still be made once your venue is live. We encourage all Partners to regularly update their content and prices to keep listings competitive. For any updates, please contact our Partner Team [email protected].
Yes, all your content can be updated once it’s launched.
We actually encourage all our Partners to update their content regularly (at least once a year) to stay competitive. Many of our Partners continually improve their listing to help couples build an emotional connection with their venue. This increases the number of leads and bookings generated for that venue.

LIVE - SELLING WEDDINGS TOGETHER ONLINE
There are 2 ways couples can book on our platform:
1. Messaging – Couples who know what they are looking for can work together with the MOW Sales Team and your wedding coordinator. Once they are happy they can book through messaging. Attachments like wedding agreements and invoices can be sent through messaging. Usually payments will be made directly to the venue here (via TT or credit card form). The time taken for you to reply is also measured and shown on the site, to help manage our couple’s expectations.
2. Compare & Book – Couples who want more guidance on which venue is best for them can use Compare & Book. Here we get their key wedding requirements by asking them 9 questions. We then send it to your wedding coordinator who can answer and make sure your venue is suitable for the client. Then to book, they can use our online platform to pay My Overseas Wedding (via CC) or pay direct to the venue. Whichever works best for them.
We also give our clients guidance on what they need to know before they book. This is done through the platform as well as online articles. It helps clients ask the right questions and become more confident when making a buying decision.
When a client is interested in your venue (i.e. become a qualified lead), they will do one of the following actions:
- Complete a quote: Once couples are happy with the wedding experience, they will want to see if the price is right too. To do this they can build an instant wedding quote based on your wedding package and F&B packages. Please note our instant quoting service is only offered to Partner’s who have uploaded both their wedding packages and F&B packages into our systems (i.e. Full Listing). Otherwise, couples will need to Request Prices manually by sending a message.
- Send messages: Couples can ask questions about your venue via our messaging system. Our Sales Team are active throughout the Sales Process and will work with you to help answer questions and address their concerns. Generally, you are responsible for questions about your venue, wedding offering and wedding prices. Our Sales Team will cover questions about the website, how to book and any other general wedding questions we can answer.
- Request Booking Details: Couples that are close to booking will Request Booking Details to receive a wedding proposal and any other related booking documents you have. We will pass you the client’s personal details and requirements to help with this. You can upload these documents through our system or via messaging. The client can then continue to book through our platform once they are ready.
We will let you know when any of the above events happen via email.
Also to get the support of our Sales Team and increase bookings, please make sure you use our messaging system to speak to clients. Our team will then work closer together with you to support you on each enquiry. If you also have a Whatsapp contact, please send that to our team at [email protected].
No, clients cannot book a wedding without speaking to our Partners first.
We’ve found that most clients are not comfortable with booking a venue without speaking to the Partner’s Wedding Team first. It’s essential that couples build a relationship with you to ensure they like and trust the person who will be planning and executing their wedding. You also have the most product knowledge so are best placed to answer questions about it.
The way this works on the site is once clients have used the platform to filter down their favourite venues based on experience and price (usually 3-4 venues), they will message you and begin the conversation.
This helps to minimise complaints and cancellations after booking, resulting in positive reviews. It ensures the client and venue are the right fit for each other, maximising the chances of a smooth wedding planning process and an amazing experience on the day.
You are 100% responsible for your own listing and keeping it competitive on the platform. Since you know your venue best and have the latest content, it is your responsibility to make your venue more appealing and keep all content including prices up-to-date.
Many of our venues update their content throughout the year to generate more wedding leads and also increase conversions.

There are 3 factors to how we rank and provide exposure to our Partners:
- How much you support us – This is related to our agreement over commissions or NET rates. To be fair to all our Partners, we will give more exposure and focus to Partners that support us more.
- How well you sell – This starts with how appealing your content is on your listing and the leads it generates. It also relates to how fast you reply to client enquiries, how many bookings you get and client feedback.
- How well you work with us – This is about how well we work together on our platform. It’s about how active you are with your listing and keeping all client conversations on our platform. We also reward those who consistently improve their content and keep their prices up-to-date.
Yes, you can add up to 3 of your colleagues to your Partner profile. They will then receive all MOW email notifications.
